ปลุกชีพพิพิธภัณฑ์ด้วยเสียงเพลงและกิจกรรมสุดสร้างสรรค์ ให้ความรักเบ่งบานนานเท่านานที่บ้านสื่อรัก “รัตนพฤกษ์ซอว์ ” นิทรรศการใหม่ในย่านเมือง เก่าสงขลาจัดตกแต่งด้วยดอกไม้หลากหลายสีเต็มบ้าน ตั้งแต่หน้าประตูจนถึงในรั้วบ้าน

บ้านรัตนพฤกษ์ชอว์เป็นบ้านสไตล์จีนผสมไทยร่วมสมัย ในซอยรามัญ กลางเมืองเก่าสงขลา บ้านที่ตกทอดมาถึงคุณวรรณีรัตนพฤกษ์ซอว์และคุณวิลเลี่ยม ซอว์โดยมีวัดกลาง เป็นเจ้าของกรรมสิทธิ์ที่ดิน ด้วยความรักที่มีต่อเมืองสงขลา และความรักบ้านหลังนี้ประกอบกับ ตนเองอาศัยอยู่ต่างประเทศ จึงมอบบ้านหลังนี้ให้กับประเทศไทย ผ่านคณะ สถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์มทร.ศรีวิชัย เพื่อดูแลรักษาคุณค่าทางสถาปัตยกรรม และใช้เป็นพื้นที่ทํา กิจกรรมทางการศึกษา ส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวให้เป็นจุดถ่ายรูป CHECK IN ในจังหวัดสงขลา ให้เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงสร้างสรรค์และเพื่อสืบทอดเจตนารมณ์ของผู้มอบบ้าน “รัตนพฤกษ์ซอว์”

ซึ่งในเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2567 ได้เปิดบ้านให้ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยวได้เข้าไปถ่ายภาพ ภายในบ้านในช่วงวันเสาร์และวันอาทิตย์เท่านั้น ตั้งแต่เวลา 13.00-17.00 น. โดยมีนักท่องเที่ยวทยอยเดินทางเข้ามาถ่ายภาพบรรยากาศภายในบ้านที่ประดับตกแต่งไว้ด้วยดอกไม้อย่าง สวยงาม อีกทั้งมีการเขย่าเซียมซีสื่อรักให้บริการนักท่องเที่ยว เพื่อให้เป็นสีสันบรรยากาศวาเลนไทน์ในเดือนแห่งความรัก

สําหรบบัานรัตนพฤกษ์ชอว์เป็นอาคารตึก 2 ชั้น สร้างแบบสถาปัตยกรรมจีนผสมไทยร่วม สมัย (Contemporary Thai Chinese Architecture) เป็นอาคารก่ออิฐถือปูน รับน้าหนัก ด้วยเสาและคาน ภายในตกแต่งเข้ากับสไตล์ของย่านเมืองเก่า ปัจจุบันตั้งอยู่ถนนรามัญ อ.เมือง จ.สงขลา

Ratanapruk-Shaw: Reviving Museums with Music and Creative Activities

Love blossoms endlessly at the Ratanapruk Shaw Residence, a new exhibition in the old town of Songkhla, adorned with colorful flowers throughout the house, from the front door to the backyard. Ratanapruk Shaw Residence is a contemporary blend of Chinese and Thai architectural styles, nestled in the Ramany Soi in downtown Songkhla. The property was passed down to Khun Waranee Ratanapruk Shaw and Khun William Shaw, with the central temple holding the land ownership. Their love for the city of Songkhla and their affection for this home, despite residing abroad themselves, led them to donate the property to Thailand through the Faculty of Architecture, Prince of Songkla University. This was to preserve its architectural heritage and utilize it as an educational activity space to promote tourism as a creative checkpoint in Songkhla, in line with the spirit of the donors, “Ratanapruk Shaw.” In February 2567 B.E. (2024), the residence was opened to the public and tourists for interior photography sessions on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Visitors gradually flocked in to capture the beautifully decorated ambiance with flowers inside the house. Additionally, there were traditional Chinese music performances provided for tourists to enhance the atmosphere, creating a Valentine’s Day vibe in the month of love. The Ratanapruk Shaw Residence is a two-story building, blending contemporary Thai-Chinese architecture, constructed with bricks and mortar, reinforced with columns and beams.
